What we keep, and why.

LEVL is a ride service. To take you somewhere we need to know who you are, where you are going and how to reach you. This page says exactly what that means.

In effect from 4 October 2026. Applies to the LEVL rider app, the LEVL driver app, ridelevl.com and our consoles. LEVL is preparing to launch; this policy is reviewed and updated as the service opens, and the date above changes when it does.

Who we are

LEVL is a ride service in Kansas City, operated by Wayu LLC. Write to us at support@ridelevl.com about anything on this page.

What we collect

Your account

Your phone number is your account. We also keep your name, your email address if you add one, and a profile photo if you add one. A code sent by text message confirms the phone number.

Rides

Where each ride starts and ends, the stops, when it was booked and for when, who drove, the price, the receipt, and any rating or note either side left. If you save a place or a route, we keep it until you remove it.

Location

The rider app reads your location when you open it, to place the map and offer a pickup. While a ride is live the driver app reports the car’s position so the rider can see it coming and so the ride has a record; the rider app reports the rider’s position while they are on that ride. Neither app reads location in the background when there is no ride.

Payments

Card payments are handled by our payment processor. LEVL keeps the card brand and its last four digits so you can tell your cards apart, and never the card number.

Drivers

To drive with LEVL a driver gives us their driver’s license, personal auto insurance, car details, photographs of the car and an inspection, their consent to a background check and a driving record check, and the agreements they sign. These stay on the driver’s file, which only LEVL staff with that job can open.

Messages

Messages between a rider and a driver about a ride, and messages to support, are stored so they can be read by the people they are for and by support.

Devices

A push notification token for each phone you sign in on, so we can tell you a driver is on the way. Error reports from the apps, without your name.

The website

If you join the waitlist we keep your email address. If you say you are interested in driving we keep what you typed: your name, phone number, and, if you gave them, your email, area and car. The support form keeps what you wrote so we can answer it. The website sets no cookies and runs no advertising or analytics trackers.

How we use it

  • To book, match, run and pay for rides, and to show both people the ride as it happens.
  • To reach you about your rides, your account and your money, and, only if you have opted in, about offers.
  • To keep people safe: the record of a ride, the driving score that reads a driver’s trace against speed limits and stop signs, and our review of every driver’s file.
  • To answer support, to keep legal and financial records, and to fix what breaks.

Who sees it

  • Your driver sees your first name, your pickup, your drop off and any stops, and can call or message you about the ride while it is on. You see your driver’s name, photo, car and plate.
  • Your company, if a ride is billed to one, sees that ride: who, when, where, and the price. It never sees your personal rides.
  • People you share a ride with see the car, the route and the arrival time on a link, until the ride ends or you stop sharing.
  • LEVL staff see what their job needs and no more. Access is by role and is logged.
  • Service providers that run parts of LEVL for us, under contract, on our instructions: Supabase (our database and file storage, in the United States), Google Maps Platform (maps, addresses and routes), Twilio (the sign in codes by text), Microsoft 365 (email), and Apple, Google and Expo (push notifications and app distribution). Speed limits and stop signs for the driving score come from OpenStreetMap, which receives nothing about you.
  • The law, when a valid legal request requires it, or to protect someone’s safety.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers.

How long we keep it

  • Your account and its details, for as long as you have the account.
  • The record of each ride, its receipt and its payment, as a legal and financial record, after the account is gone but without your name attached.
  • The car’s trace during a ride is kept whole for 30 days after the ride is scored, thinned to one point in ten until 180 days, then deleted.
  • Error reports for 90 days; the audit trail of changes made by staff for 400 days.
  • Driver documents for as long as the driver drives with LEVL, and afterwards for as long as insurance and the law require.

Your choices

  • Delete your account from the app (Account, then Settings, then Delete account). What is deleted and what is kept. Your name, phone number, email, photo, saved places, saved cards and contacts are removed. Rides booked for you are cancelled at no charge.
  • Notifications are yours to turn off in the app, one kind at a time.
  • Location is a permission on your phone. Without it the rider app still works from a typed address; the driver app cannot take rides without it.
  • Ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, or to correct it, at support@ridelevl.com.

Children

LEVL is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Some offers in the app are shown only to people who have told us they are 21 or over.

Changes

When this page changes in a way that matters, the date at the top changes and we tell you in the app.
